Ancilliary Inlet Works Equipment and Fabrications

Additional elements to the core products are typically required to ensure that a high performance Inlet system is delivered, ranging from fabricated steelwork and specialist flow control systems to electrical control systems and other design related elements.

Haigh have a standard range to assist you with your project, with customised fabrications additionally available based on experience in the field combined with an understanding of what is required in a wide range of scenarios in the sector.

All stainless steel fabrications can be specified in the grade material of your choosing, typically 304 or 316 StSt for more demanding environments.

Structural Steelwork

Haigh provide standard and customised structural / mild steel galvanised support structures relating to inlet works.

The design service gives a full loading calculations, and delivers complicance with the stringent safety criteria relating in particular to access and maintenance of the installed equipment.

Pre-assembly at Haigh ensures a hassle free installation of the equipment on site, reducing risks associated with extensive on-site work.

Haigh can either manufacture in-house or work with key supply chain framework partners based on customer preference.

Control Systems

Macipump Mounting Toe

The Macipump mounting toe ensures that the off-line macerator is positioned in the optimal fashion for best performance.

An interlocked, operator friendly inspection hatch allows grit and stones to be flushed out of the toe as required during scheduled maintenance operations.

Distribution Tank

The Distribution Tank allows collection of flows from multiple sources, output to multiple independent process components, as well as built in fine grit settlement.

Macerated effluent is pumped into the tank where internal features allow denser grit material to settle into the discharge point, while the remaining material passes on for further treatment.

Automated valves control the process, allowing for a high level of flexibility in both the redundancy, capacity and performance of the system that the distribution tank is built into.

Capacities from 16 l/s to 96 l/s per unit are available as standard.

Conditioning Tank

This fabricated tank allows the process medium to be presented to the macerators in the most efficient fashion, as well as allowing multiple maceration units to be applied for greater process capacity or improved system redundancy.

Undesireable items such as debris and stones settle out in a dedicated area with interlocked, easy to access hatch.

Additional grit settlement can also be added to the unit.

Biosolids Input Hoppers

A wide range of input hoppers are available to suit the maceration requirements and capacities of the particular application.

Manual Stone and Grit Trap

A simple range of modules to collect stones and coarse grit for manual removal

Capacities from 2 l/s to 150 l/s per unit.

Designed for straightforward pipeline installation with flanged intlet and outlet connections.

Effluent velocity is slowed down as it passes through the module, settling out stones, coarse grit such that they can be periodically raked up a slope for disposal.

Launder Channel Stone and Grit Trap
